They are currently seeking a Full Time Pastry Chef de Partie to join their kitchen brigade.
The hotel offers multi food outlets with the opportunity of fine dining restaurant that opens for lunch and dinner service or the bar / brassiere that serves food from breakfast to dinner giving fantastic views whilst the guest enjoy their drinks and food.

You will need to be capable of running a section within the Kitchen and working to safe hygiene practices. As a Pastry Chef you will be expected to coach the junior members of the brigade.
You will need to have patience and creative skills that no other chefs in the kitchen have. Pastry is like painting a picture and creating a stunning visual food product that when consumed will only please the recipient.
Key Features of the Role:
The creation of all desserts shown on both the bar and restaurant menu as well as functions and afternoon cream teas.
Managing, training and coaching any Chefs working with you making sure that they are competent, confident and organised to produce food to the Executive Chef’s standard.
You will normally be working alone in a separate kitchen to the main kitchen so you will need to take responsibility for food cost and wastage, cleanliness, hygiene, stock control and its organisation.
All food is prepared inhouse using fresh ingredients and local suppliers wherever possible as well creating and developing and setting the highest standards of food quality and consistency.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Be an accomplished Pastry Chef
Ideally have previous 4 or 5 star hotel experience within a large pastry operation
Experience of pastry in top end dining as well as volume banqueting.
Experience in designing menus when required that embraces food culture.
Be able to manage the kitchen structure and have it prepared ready for others to work in on your days off.
Have the confidence to be able to recruit and train new team members of the kitchen and strive to be the best at what they do
