A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a leading Retail Services organisation for an experienced PR and Media Manager to be based at their large Essex retail site. This exciting, new position requires a highly capable and experienced PR professional, with a proven track record of delivering high impact consumer PR campaigns, to manage, implement and drive the PR strategy for their Essex retail centre using both online and offline PR initiatives. This role would be well suited to a B2C/consumer PR professional who have has had experience of a mix of leisure, entertainment, retail events and high profile launches. Possibly someone who has gained extensive experience (min. 4-5 years) in a London PR agency and is now looking for a role in Essex, perhaps closer to home? Ideally you will also possess experience of crisis management and budget management although this isn’t a prerequisite. With a highly creative, energetic and passionate nature you will be key to ensuring the success of the annual PR strategy. Key responsibilities in this PR and Media Manager role include: * Developing and implementing the annual PR strategy * Taking responsibility for all media relations undertaken in-house * Providing support for in-centre retailer activity i.e. events, brand activity, retail store openings, product launches, book signings etc. * Building successful working relationships and partnerships with journalists and editors * Working with the central press team on national media stories * Write newsworthy copy, features and columns * Liaison with the Digital Marketing Coordinator to create digital social plans for the retail site and manage the social media sites * Collaborating with outside agencies on joint initiatives * Responding to media enquiries, including crisis management, filming and photography requests etc. * Ensuring effective internal communication is maintained at all times with colleagues, management, retail partners and external organisations * Acting as a spokesperson Plus much, much more!
